Waa Tea is a social media page introducing different types of tea and sharing their knowledge about it, they sometimes even host workshops.
They wanted to expand the scale of their company by tea retail, hoping that having a social media background would build them a friendly brand that would cater to different levels of tea enthusiasts.
I helped initiate the brand building by establishing their website and providing a variety of illustrated material so that they would be able to start their retail business.
The website enables Waa Tea to expand its retail business to a larger scale an e-commerce platform and an inventory system.
Waa Tea was a social media page introducing different kinds of tea and promoting their knowledge of tea. While the page doesn’t have a strong brand image, the founder is keen on sharing what she knows about tea, and she is genuinely enthusiastic about tea.
We had a lot of meetings to find out our strengths compared to other tea brands, what we have and what they don’t. Whether we want to build a luxury brand or a more common brand. Based on the founder’s passion, we decided that it would be a good idea to position the brand as a friendly and down-to-earth brand. While emphasising aesthetic, we would gradually improve the user experience based on research and the founder’s tea knowledge.
While the website’s structure is simple, I did a variety of sketches trying to properly depict the brand image.
The website is launched with an e-commerce system built in, allowing the founder to easily expand the product line, record the inventory, or perhaps implement new pages and functions with ease.
